Well, first the bad news: the UHA-6 and UHA-6S amps are officially discontinued.
And now the good news: the “Mark II” replacement model is not far behind. I’ve had so much interest in the UHA-6S recently that I decided to give the design a few improvements. The UHA-6S.MKII will feature a smaller case, lower output noise, and an additional digital input (coax S/PDIF). Like the previous version, the Mark II will be iPad-compatible.
With the last few design tweaks just about finished, the new UHA-6S.MKII should be going into production soon. I’ll have more updates as the release date approaches.

thanks for response – I would like to be the first person to receive one in the southern hemisphere so i can brag and show off to my headfi friend. If you maintain an email list please can you add mine. cheers
Any chance that you’ll bring the crossfeed function to the UHA-6S? That would make it a no-brainer for me.
The UHA-6S.MKII will not have a crossfeed feature, mostly because I did not have room for the additional circuitry in the smaller case. I am definitely planning to include crossfeed on future models, though.

Hey Nick,
Is it safe to assume that the price will be at least where the UHA-6S was selling for or slightly more, and will it have the same excellent Cirrus DAC chip?
Yes, the UHA-6S.MKII will have the same high-performance Cirrus DAC, and the price will be similar to the previous model.
